Ian advises high net worth individuals and business owners on all financial planning matters with a focus on tax efficient investments and pensions.
After qualifying as an Accountant and spending 4 years in industry, Ian enjoyed a 14-year career with ANZ Banking Group, including Executive and Country Head roles in the Middle East, Pakistan, Indonesia and Australasia. He established Fish Financial in 2007, a fast-growing IFA practice with offices in Farnham and London, and is also a Partner at Baker Law solicitors with whom Fish work closely.
Not one to sit still, Ian has also undertaken entrepreneurial ventures as diverse as composite chassis for the electric vehicle (EV) market, and a new winter sports product “snow surf board”.
A football-vet and golfer, Ian enjoys a glass of wine with family and friends.
Bringing a wide range of business and life experience to his advice role, Mark provides bespoke investment and retirement planning advice to private and corporate clients.
A qualified adviser since 2007, Mark gained valuable experience at some of the largest wealth management companies in the UK, originally qualifying as a stockbroker with a City investment firm and latterly moving into an advisory role with Barclays Wealth. Mark has been a part of the Fish team since 2013 and was made a director of the firm in 2016.
Providing his clients with innovative wealth management strategies, Marks aim is to inspire them to achieving financial independence.
He is a passionate advocate of true client focused wealth management, at the completely different end of the spectrum from that typically found in larger organisations.
Outside of work Mark is ever trying to improve his golf handicap and helps coach Albury’s under 9’s cricket team.
Steve provides valuable business direction to the Board and has a vast HNW client network. He spent much of his career in the City (and New York), holding Executive Board positions at both Garban (now part of ICAP), the world’s largest inter-dealer broker, and at GFI Group, one of the largest intermediaries. His roles oversaw the global data and analytics parts of the businesses as well 900 brokers.
In 2013, Steve retired after spending 6 years in Doha as CEO of IMEX, an investment vehicle for the QIA (Qatar Investment Authority). He retains a number of advisory and non-executive roles including Glasswall Ltd, a leading cyber security firm, and Pay Dashboard, an interactive payslip platform.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Steve is a keen sports follower, wine investor, and enjoys spending time with his twin daughters.
Toby is responsible for delivering holistic advice to private and corporate clients. Toby joined Fish Financial in 2016 from Chase de Vere where he held the position of Paraplanner and was responsible for researching and producing suitability reports, constructing and maintaining investment portfolios and researching investment providers and products. He previously worked at Group Rapport.
Toby provides advice on all aspects of financial planning and has a particular expertise in retirement planning, investment planning and estate planning.
Toby is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, a Diploma qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and was featured as one of Citywire's top 35 financial advisers under the age of 35 in 2016.
When he is not busy working, you will likely find Toby at the gym or socialising.
Emily qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with Menzies in 2001, and graduated into management there, before acting as a General Practice Manager, covering all aspects tax and accountancy services, for a local firm. In 2015 Emily set up her own accountancy practice and came on board at Fish to add a level of tax expertise to the personal taxation service.
Emily's commitment to clients and her hands-on and pro-active approach are key to her success in her role, providing us with an efficient, friendly and comprehensive tax return service. She also provides us with additional tax and accounting advice as and where needed.
Emily loves to ski and is also a keen mountain biker - out there whatever the weather – well almost!
In the Fish Financial “engine room”, Pete brings his qualifications and experience to bear as a technical report writer who analyses client’s pensions and investments. Possessing a strong attention to detail he scrutinises fund/plan performance and costs, scheme rules, and ever changing pensions legislation. Pete pulls it altogether to help the Advisers formulate formal, yet clear, client recommendation reports.
Pete is also heavily involved in research for new products and providers, and has great experience with cashflow modelling tools; the latter enabling him to deliver powerful lifetime plans for clients.
Pete has nearly 10 years’ experience in the financial services sector, is a fully qualified financial adviser, and very much enjoys interacting with clients.
In his spare time Pete enjoys travelling, reading, spending time with friends and family and deep sea diving.
Guy joined Fish in 2017 as a Trainee Financial Advisor having recently graduated from university with a degree in Economics. He assists in all areas of business at Fish, from undertaking administration tasks and report writing through to attending client meetings. He balances office life with diligent study towards his Diploma in Regulated Planning, with the aim of becoming an FCA approved individual.
Outside of work, Guy has a keen interest in a variety of sports, including football, tennis and athletics. He also enjoys socialising over the odd beer and has recently taken up Salsa dancing.
Having spent the past 30 years in various roles within the Financial Services sector including Trust and Company Administration, Bookkeeping and Auditing, Lesley is well-placed to be able to service client needs efficiently.
During the past six years with Fish Financial, she has provided operational, IT and administrative support to a growing business, allowing back-office functions to be developed and maintained, thus enabling the Advisers to have the time to fully engage with their clients.
Lesley works remotely from the main office, which requires a personal discipline. She is based in the Isle of Man and is never averse to enjoying some sunshine when “down South” with the team.
Sylvie works in the administration team working closely with our advisers, paraplanners and financial planning manager to support the client advisory process.
She is responsible for ensuring that the information gathering process is accurate and timely to support the timeframe we have indicated to our clients. This involves building good relationships with our clients, providers and other parties. With 15 years’ experience in the industry, including 10 years at the UK’s largest IFA network, providing great customer service is of key importance to her.
In her spare time Sylvie enjoys going to the gym, gardening and volunteering as a guide leader.
David covers a range of areas at Fish including Compliance and technical report writing, particularly covering Defined Benefit Transfers as the firm’s Pension Transfer Specialist.
Over more than 15 years in the Financial Services industry, his experience has translated into a wide range of qualifications, having achieved Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society and the Designation of Chartered Financial Planner.
Away from the office, he enjoys cycling and is a long suffering Season Ticket holder at the mighty Southampton FC.

Linda works with Sylvie and the administration team. She is responsible for gathering information for our Advisers, liaising with clients and providers, and focusing on providing timely and accurate support to the client advisory process.
With over 10 years’ experience in the industry, she understands the importance of establishing good client relationships and providing great customer service.
In her spare time Linda enjoys travelling, yoga, spending time with friends and family, and for the past couple of years has been endeavouring to improve her French at evening classes.
